Infrastructure in Africa: Lessons for Future Development

Good infrastructure is essential for socio-economic growth and sustainable development. Safe and accessible water supplies, reliable energy, good transport networks and communications technology are all vital to a region’s development agenda.

Mthuli Ncube is Managing Director, Quantum Global Research LabLab, Switzerland. He was previously Professor of Public Policy at the University of Oxford and served as Chief Economist and Vice President at the African Development Bank Group.

Dr Charles Leyeka Lufumpa is the Director of Statistics Department at the African Development Bank Group. He oversees the Bank’s statistical development activities in African countries as well as the data needs for the Bank.
