Barham was also known for his contributions to the 'Edinburgh Review' and the 'Literary Gazette'. With notes by R. H. Dalton Barham, the real name of Thomas Ingoldsby, who was generally known under his pseudonym. Illustrated by Leech, Cruikshank, Barham, Gilks and Buss, with twelve illustrations to Volume I, including a folding plate, and fifteen to Volume II. Collated, complete. In a half calf binding with marbled boards. Externally, sound with slight rubbing to the extremities and joints. Light bumping to the extremities and spine. Hinges are a touch strained. A little fading to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean, with spotting to the first few pages, mainly to the illustrated title page and frontispiece. Good.
