Synopsis
- Once upon a time, there were five crazy people, and they poisoned the 21st Century. Now they have to deal with the corrosion to try and save us all from a world becoming too weird to support human life.
- Injection is the new series of graphic novels created by the acclaimed creative team of Moon Knight: From The Dead, about how loud and strange the world is getting, about the wild future and the haunted past all crashing into the present day at once, and about five eccentric geniuses dealing with the paranormal and numinous as well as the growing weight of what they did to the planet with the Injection. Beginning with Maria Kilbride, the troubled troubleshooter for the research wing of mysterious multinational FPI, dragged from hospital to investigate a case of a possessed laboratory and a disappearance that, impossibly, has the hallmarks of ancient folklore.
About the Author
Warren Ellis is the award-winning writer of graphic novels like TRANSMETROPOLITAN, FELL, MINISTRY OF SPACE and PLANETARY, and the author of the New York Times-bestselling GUN MACHINE and the “underground classic” novel CROOKED LITTLE VEIN. The movie RED is based on his graphic novel of the same name. Warren Ellis is currently writing a TV pilot for Universal Cable Productions and working on a non-fiction book about the future of the city for Farrar Giroux Straus. His next book will be the novella NORMAL, also from FSG.A documentary about his work, CAPTURED GHOSTS, was released in 2012.Recognitions include the NUIG Literary and Debating Society’s President’s Medal for service to freedom of speech, the EAGLE AWARDS Roll Of Honour for lifetime achievement in the field of comics & graphic novels, the Grand Prix de l’Imaginaire 2010, the Sidewise Award for Alternate History and the International Horror Guild Award for illustrated narrative. Declan Shalvey is an award-winning artist/writer from Ireland. Over his career, Shalvey has illustrated hit titles such as Batman, Deadpool, Punisher, Moon Knight as well as the acclaimed graphic novel series INJECTION with writer Warren Ellis for Image Comics. Since moving into writing, he has gained credits such as, Deadpool VS Old Man Logan, SAVAGE TOWN, and BOG BODIES.
Jordie Bellaire is a two-time Eisner winning colorist for acclaimed projects such as Vision, They're Not Like Us, Pretty Deadly, Injection, Auttumnlands etc, as well as mainstream hits like Batman, Deadpool, Moon Knight, and Hawkeye. She is writer and co-creator with artist Vanesa R. Del Rey on the ongoing Image Comics series Redlands.
She lives in Ireland with her famous cat, Buffy.
