Ink Running Through My Veins

This compilation of poems captures life's experiences of love, heartbreak and the victory of circumstances. Each poem is an abstract view of how the heart responds to love and how the mind processes thoughts that we as humans often think but rarely communicate.This publication intensifies the hues in life's rainbow from the perils of gray to the radiance of yellow. Sheena Maria Simpson was born in Monroe, North Carolina in November of 1982. A single child, she learned to explore life and to manifest her creativity through words. Her passion for writing and poetry has served as her inspiration in some of her most trying times. It is that inspiration that she wishes to share with others as they embark on their journey through life.Sheena is a graduate of Winston Salem State University in Winston Salem, NC where she received a B.A. in History and Political Science. She is currently a Training and Development Specialist for Carolinas HealthCare System in Charlotte, North Carolina. Sheena is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. In addition to her love of words, Sheena also showers her love on a beautiful son, Zion Amir.
