Dr. Rajkumar Shridhar Deshpande is the Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology at JSPM University, Pune, and a distinguished academician with over 36 years of experience in electronics and telecommunication engineering.
Dr. Rajkumar Shridhar Deshpande holds a B.E. and M.E. in Electronics (First Class), a Ph.D. in Electronics & Telecommunication, and an MBA in Human Resources. He has received prestigious awards, including the Japanese Government and National Merit Scholarships, Best Paper Award at ADCOM, and Engineering Achievement & Chartered Engineer Awards from IEI India. With over 35 years of academic experience, he has served 16 years as Principal and 8 years as Professor & HOD. His research contributions include 58 published papers, 2 patents, and securing ₹220 lakh in research grants, along with authoring ATM Congestion Control. As a Ph.D. guide at SPPU, he has supervised 2 completed Ph.D. students and currently guides 5 more while also reviewing for IEEE Sensors and IEEE Access journals. He is a Fellow and member of IEEE, ISTE, IE (India), and ICICE (Japan) and has held key university roles, including LIC Chairman and Ph.D. Centre Evaluation Committee Member. His mentorship has led students to national recognition in the Smart India Hackathon and AI Project Competitions.
