An Inquiry Into the Modern Prevailing Notions Respecting That Freedom of Will (1840)

""An Inquiry Into The Modern Prevailing Notions Respecting That Freedom Of Will"" is a philosophical and theological treatise written by Jonathan Edwards in 1840. The book examines the concept of free will and challenges the prevailing notions of the time. Edwards argues that true freedom of the will is only possible through submission to God's will, and that human beings are inherently sinful and unable to choose good without divine intervention. He also critiques the idea of moral responsibility and argues that it is ultimately God who determines the actions of individuals. The book is a significant contribution to the fields of philosophy and theology and continues to be studied and debated today.Which Is Supposed To Essential To Moral Agency, Virtue And Vice, Rewards And Punishment, Praise And Blame. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
