Add to basketInsect Miscellanies published in London in 1847. It is part of the Entomologist's Text Book series, authored by James Rennie. The author is James Rennie (1787-1867), a Scottish naturalist and the first professor of natural history and zoology at King's College London. The book features text illustrations and is part of a two-volume set that also includes Insect Transformations. These volumes were originally published anonymously around 1830-1831. The stamp visible on the title page indicates that the book was once held by the Mechanics Wexford Institute.
420pp, 18x12cm.
The binding features ornate gilt stamping on the spine and covers. The condition shows signs of age, including rubbing to the extremities and some fraying at the head and tail of the spine, with some toning. Pages are in good condition and show signs of general aging and toning, and there is some minor wear visible along the inner left edge where the pages meet the binding. Overall wear is consistent with age.
