Text in English. Cardboard binder entitled "Insectes Forestiers du Canada" containing a selection of 9 pamphlets on Forest Insects (in English) dating from 1930-1944. Subjects: The Spruce Budworm (1944), The European Spruce Sawfly (1934), The Larch Sawfly (1931), The European Pine Shoot Moth (1934), The Balsam Woolly Aphid (1936), The Black-Headed Budworm (1932), The Hemlock Looper and Its Control (1930), The Eastern Spruce Bark-Beetle (1938) and Sawyer Beetles in Pine, Spruce and Balsam Fir (1938). Each pamphlet covers all or some of: description of the insect, appearance of an outbreak, seasonal history, method of attack, effect on tree, habits and injury, appearance of injury, distribution, prevention and control. Each also includes a vivid, one-page coloured illustration. Pages darkened, smudges on first page, three pages towards the rear water stained, else pages clean and illustrations crisp. Overall, very good minus. Cardboard binder water stained and scuffed, inside metal hinge rusted, previous owner's humorous inscription in ink on inside front cover - overall, good.
