Inspired Design: Expanded Edition

Who are the interior designers everyone needs to know? Who changed how we live? Now expanded with 10 additional designers, here is the whole story of interior design in one book―all the greats and what can be learned from them

“An exhaustive survey of every major decorator of the past century and an essential for every aficionado’s library.” ―Veranda

“This might be the most coveted list of all in the world of interior design. Here, at last, are the . . . designers everyone who loves design needs to know―and who continue to inspire. The book is a fascinating timeline of the evolution of interior design and decoration.” ―Milieu

Unlike most decorating books that focus on one designer, one period, or one trend, this highly acclaimed volume, now including 10 additional leading designers―including David Netto, Roman & Williams, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Isabel López-Quesada, Tino Zervudachi, and Vincent Van Duysen―provides the big picture: ALL the names everybody must know from the entire 100-year history of interior design, including:

The Big Six

A Century of Women

The Influencers

The Americans

The English Masters

The Globalists

The Grandees

The New Voices

Designers Without Borders

Each designer is profiled and illustrated with three to four photographs of their best work. What we can learn from them―and how they changed decorating forever―is clearly highlighted to catch the eye. Any list of interior designers is personal. Agree or disagree. Love it or challenge it. But Inspired Design is the starting point for everybody who loves interior design―and the one book every design library must have.
