A facsimile edition of the original 1672 Nathaneal Brooke edition, here limited to 100 numbered copies (this being #38). 4to. [iv] + [xiv] + 720pp + [102pp appendix] + [i] errata leaf. Blue smooth-weave cloth lettered in gold at the spine, and with a blind-stamped border and gilt decorative device to the upper board. Top edge gilt. With a ribbon place marker and the title page printed in black and red. Illustrated with various plates, including two folding examples. Some browning to the edges of the half-title, and a little light wear to the cloth at several edges and extremities. A short tear to the fore edge of one of the folding plates. Former owner name neatly inked to the head of the front free endpaper. Five Royal Mail postage stamps printed for the 650th anniversary of the Order of the Garter affixed to the title page.
