4.75 x 3.25 in. Half red leather with marbled boards, gilt titling to spine. Some rubbing to spine leather, edges, corners. Boards slightly bowed, especially at fore edge and corners. Hand-sewn endbands, silk ribbon bookmark detached but present. Marbled endpapers. Text in Latin. Most bolts remain uncut. Two bookplates to fpd- one belonging to Antonio Vitaliano Sossi adhered on top of larger bookplate of Philip Bliss (?) with ink date of 1805. Verso of ffep has handwritten notation in brown ink: "This uncut copy of one of the rarest volumes which issued from the Elsevir press, was purchased at Mr. John Hunter's sale of K[.?], at Leigh and Sothebys. 1805."
