Ramiro Garcia earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in Spanish, and a master's degree in Linguistics from San Jose State University in San Jose, California. For 28 years, he successfully applied the Total Physical Response™ approach in teaching Spanish at Prospect High School in Saratoga, California, where he also served for 13 years as chairman of the language department.
