The author too comes from an unlikely place: aged eighteen she left her home country to dedicate herself to teaching the spiritual practices of Tantra Yoga, and has since resided in various parts of the world in this capacity. Her poems at once offer insight into this often misunderstood spiritual path, whilst at the same time, perhaps surprisingly and in an uncommon act of perception and balance, are free from any unnatural imposition from it.
