A HEART-WRENCHING ACCOUNT OF ONE WOMAN'S HEALING JOURNEY
When Lynne Feldman was told she had two forms of serious cancer, she faced a critical dilemma: What do I do next?
Her doctors encouraged her to attack the disease with surgery and traditional chemotherapy. Others suggested alternative methods that help the body to heal itself with nutrition and herbal remedies. Still others pointed to complementary practices like prayer, meditation, and depth psychology as the best way to cure herself of her disease.
With so many conflicting viewpoints in the modern medical marketplace, Lynne saw that no single perspective had all the answers. Faced with some immediate decisions, she realized she would have to take her healing into her own hands.
And so she did. Embarking on a 3-year healing journey, Lynne exhaustively researched the best of traditional, complementary, and alternative medicine, and then synthesized an approach to healing herself that ultimately led to her recovery.
Integral Healing tells Lynne's story. One-part memoir and one-part "how-to" guide, it outlines the valuable "integral" approach to healing that she developed along the way, providing you with a practical blueprint for developing an individualized healing program of your own.
A PRACTICAL BLUEPRINT
Integral Healing is broken up into four sections, (Lightning Strikes, Coming to Terms, Acceptance, and Appreciation) and elegantly weaves Lynne's remarkable story into a step-by-step breakdown of her integral approach to healing. In it you'll find invaluable insights to help you on your own journey, including:
A COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH TO HEALING
Lynne's approach is unique in that she left no stone unturned in developing her healing program. As a result, her method is as inclusive as it is customizable.
Integral Healing will make you cry, it will educate you, it will challenge you, it will empower you, and most importantly, it will give you hope. This book is a must read for or anyone who's life has been touched by serious illness.

- Advice on how to stay cool in the face of an overwhelming diagnosis
- Why there is no "one-size fits all" approach to healing
- How "hope" and "positive thinking" can actually get in the way of the healing process
- How today's cutting-edge psychological research changes the way we understand health and healing
- Why "big medicine" needn't be the bad guy
- How common myths about complementary and alternative medicine can be debunked
- Why addressing the root causes of disease (biological, environmental, emotional, and spiritual) are crucial to the healing process
- Why understanding our relationship to disease, called "the psychology of illness," supports a more effective approach to healing
- What the best approaches to healing available are, including physical, psychological, and spiritual, and how to determine which methods will work best for you
- How Narrative Medicine as used in Lynne's autobiography has been shown to help healing
