Integrating ICT in Library Management

Every library has rich stores of primary, secondary and tertiary sources of information including Internet resources, online databases, manuscripts, photographs, sound recordings and many more. New technologies are also changing the services like virtual reference, user instruction, document delivery, consortia e-resources, direct borrowing and self-checkout etc. which a library provides. As society becomes increasingly connected to the virtual world and lacks patience in searching the required information, library use skills are essential to access information efficiently and effectively and thereby use information accurately and creatively.
