Nancy Jennison has 23 years of experience teaching and coaching kindergarten through grade-eight classrooms. She is a National Board Certified Teacher and a certified Reading Recovery teacher. She has served as a literacy specialist and language arts staff developer in Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Virginia. Nancy has consulted in numerous schools and been a featured speaker at conferences in over forty states. She has received the Celebrate Literacy Award from the International Reading Association and was a finalist for the Teacher of the Year Award in Fairfax County, Virginia. Nancy has written a number of journal articles and has appeared on several television shows featuring educational issues. This is her third book for Scholastic. She currently lives in Massachusetts.
