Very Good softcover. Staple-bound. Small pencil date at front cover top edge; small faint stain on front cover near joint, otherwise clean covers; faintly creased vertically at mid-magazine; short split at cover tail joint; tightly bound; clean interior. Articles by or about: Vermont, New Hampshire, ice boats on Lake Champlain, Judge Henry C. Bates of St. Johnsbury, Vieques Puerto Rico described, major article on Burlington, Fort Ethan Allen, Shelburne Farms, Mayor James E. Burke, waterfront, Elbert Hubbard, Roycrofters, Frank Plumley of Northfield, first VT Attorney General Clark C. Fitts of Brattleboro, VT Caucus Law, St. Louis Exposition. 4to, 12 pp + covers. Inter-State Journal and Advertiser ( and Advertiser dropped after 3rd issue) was published in White River Junction, VT from March 1900 through 1905. January 1906 it merged with The Vermonter magazine. All issues were large format (12 x 9.25 inches) on glossy stock. All issues had several larger articles, fiction pieces and numerous short pieces and poetry. All issues had many photos and many advertisements with drawings and art work. The editorial tone was casual with emphasis on home-life, virtue, Protestant Christianity and temperance. Also, pieces were submitted by Vermonters from abroad: South America, California, Boston, New York, Panama, etc. Seller Inventory # 16859
