Very Good softcover. Staple-bound. Small pencil date at front cover top edge; small faint stain on front cover near joint, otherwise clean covers; faintly creased vertically at mid-magazine; short split at cover tail joint; tightly bound; clean interior. Articles by or about: Vermont, New Hampshire, round dairy barn at Waterford VT, Portland OR, Forestry Sugarmakers and Dairymen's Association meetings at Montpelier with review of their industries, prison for debts, anti-docking of horses tails, temperance, farmers and middlemen's profit-taking, railroad regulating, an early billboard law, automobiles versus farmers and pedestrians. 4to 12 pp + covers. Inter-State Journal and Advertiser (Ďand Advertiserí dropped after 3rd issue) was published in White River Junction, VT from March 1900 through 1905. January 1906 it merged with The Vermonter magazine. All issues were large format (12 x 9.25 inches) on glossy stock. All issues had several larger articles, fiction pieces and numerous short pieces and poetry. All issues had many photos and many advertisements with drawings and art work. The editorial tone was casual with emphasis on home-life, virtue, Protestant Christianity and temperance.
