Interactive FORTRAN program helps you compute thermophysical properties for six fluids in a few clicks.
This report presents a user-friendly, interactive tool that computes properties for argon, ethylene, parahydrogen, nitrogen, nitrogen trifluoride, and oxygen. It uses a single equation framework and a menu of options so you can tailor calculations to your needs.
Designed for interactive use with a terminal, the program guides you to select the fluid, choose SI or engineering units, pick the single-phase region or the liquid–vapor boundary, and decide between a table of values or a single result. You provide two inputs (temperature, pressure, or density) to obtain properties such as pressure, temperature, density, internal energy, enthalpy, entropy, and specific heats. In addition, it returns viscosity, thermal conductivity, and dielectric constant for some fluids.
What you’ll experience
- An MBWR-based equation of state that supports wide ranges of temperature and pressure
- Flexible input options and immediate property outputs
- Built-in validation to catch inputs outside valid ranges
- Detailed appendices with data, sample interactions, and verification content
Ideal for researchers and engineers who model fluid properties, verify data, or run quick checks against a standard reference set.Ideal for readers of technical references and users who need an interactive tool to explore thermophysical properties of common fluids.
