Interior Design in China : Commercial Display Spaces (Interior Design in China, 10)

A collection of 25 interior design projects focusing on commercial display space in contemporary China, divided into four categories: furniture & furnishings, real estate sales centres, fashion shops, and culture and art. Here you will find the aesthetic of Zen art, inspiration from nature, subtle treatments on tonality and materiality, and use of avant-garde technologies that help realise the integration of traditional Chinese design and Western styles and establish a new cultural identity. Chinese traditional elements are used to create poetic or romantic spaces required in each project. Colour schemes and plays of light and shadow are particularly explored in the proposals included here.
