St Marys Books is proud to present this 1893 edition of The Internal Work of the Wind by S P Langley Bound in forest green cloth with gold gilt lettering to the cover this handsomely presented hardback book contains iiii 23pp and 5 fullpage plates predominantly of graphs and analyses to the back of the book Within the pages of this book the reader is treated to a pioneering analysis by S P Langley published by the Smithsonian Institute which provides a detailed analysis of the physics of flight This copy is in very good condition other than some very minor bumps to the corners of the boards and the spine a Royal Aeronautical Society exlibris pastedown on the front free endpaper and some very minor foxing on the front and end free endpaper this copy has been remarkably well preserved The Internal Work of the Wind is looking for a new home and would make for the perfect gift for any aeronautical engineering enthusiast or collectornbsp.
