John Wild, Kenneth Wild, and Halia M. Valladares Montemayor provide a blend of skills uniquely suited to writing an international business textbook. They combine award-winning teaching and research with a global view of business gained through years of living and working in cultures around the world. Their writing makes the topic of international business practical, accessible, and enjoyable.
John J. Wild John J. Wild is a distinguished Professor of Business at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He previously held appointments at the University of Manchester in England and Michigan State University. He received his B.B.A., M.S., and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
The author of more than 60 publications, in addition to five best-selling textbooks, Professor Wild conducts research on a wide range of topics, including corporate governance, capital markets, and financial analysis and forecasting.
Kenneth L. Wild Kenneth L. Wild is affiliated with the University of London, England. He previously taught at the Pennsylvania State University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Manchester (UMIST) in England and his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Wild also undertook postgraduate work at École des Affairs Internationale in Marseilles, France.
Dr. Wild’s research covers a range of international business topics, including market entry modes, country risk in emerging markets, international growth strategies, and globalization of the world economy.
Halia Mayela Valladares Montemayor Halia Valladares Montemayor is the Chair of Entrepreneurship, Nonprofit Studies, International Business and Aviation at the Bissett School of Business at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta. She is also an Associate Professor of International Business. She earned her doctoral degree in economics and business administration from Burgos University, Spain. In addition, she holds a MBA in international trade and a Master of Science in international logistics from Texas A & M International University, and is a Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) by the Forum of International Trade Training (FITT).
Dr. Valladares Montemayor's research covers an array of international business topics, including management accounting systems and cost control in international logistics, the principles of responsible investment under Jonas theory, agency theory applied to international operations, foreign direct investment by emerging economies in developed countries, and globalization applying econophysics models.
