Dr. William R. Hersh is Associate Professor and Chief of the Division of Medical Informatics and Outcomes Research in the School of Medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. He leads a research program in medical information retrieval and serves as Course Director for local and national continuing education courses on the use of computers for clinicians. He also practices Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
