The Internship of Pippa Darling: Volume 1 (The Summer Abroad Series)

Finn Burke believed Pippa Darling was the answer to his prayers. The brooding, young Irish author captured lightning in a bottle with his best-selling debut novel. Now his agent is demanding he do it all over again. But how can Finn repeat that success when he feels he sold out to achieve it? Even worse, some ditsy Florida floozie banjaxed his MacBook and set his already-delayed deadline back another month!
Finn’s alma mater agrees to send him an American intern to help Finn get his racing thoughts in order and his work-in-progress back on track. Yet who gets deposited on the doorstep of Castle Teármunn but the same woman who wrecked his laptop in the first place!
It sounded too good to be true, and that’s because it was. Aspiring author, Pippa Darling, convinced herself the prestigious literary internship in Ireland was the shortcut to achieving her burning ambition: to see her debut novel published to critical acclaim and prove to her doubting father her goal of becoming a writer is more important than his dream of Pippa managing the family bed-and-breakfast.
Upon arrival, however, the only thing Pippa finds more disappointing than the ruins of the once-magnificent Castle Teármunn is the wreck of the man who now occupies it. Best-selling sellout, Finn Burke, is a literary darling now filled with self-doubt and regret—a writer whose debut novel Pippa absolutely loathed. How can he help her polish her manuscript when he can barely stand reading his own?
You can’t judge a book by its cover. Finn and Pippa read between the lines and soon discover they have more in common than they realized, including a connection to Pippa’s favorite author, the underrated and enigmatic James Black. As inspiration flows and the attraction between them grows, creative differences are the least of the challenges these two literary lovebirds must overcome before they can write their own happily ever after. There’ll be tears on the page before this is all over—some from sadness, some from laughter, but all from where it matters most: the heart.
