This is a rebinding of two books bound into one. Date of rebinding unknown. Leatherbound boards are heavily worn, bumped, rubbed, as well as soiled with 3 inch tear along top of right edge of spine. Corners and edges are heavily worn and frayed showing boards underneath. Paper marbling on front and back boards are chipped and rubbed away. Paper label with title on spine is mostly chipped and torn away. Binding has completely separated from spine and detached from front hinge. Binding is strong between signatures except at hinges and between Part 1 and Part 2, but all pages are present. Yellow dyed textblock edges are heavily worn and soiled. Pages are lightly age-toned, soiled throughout, with occasional inscribing in ink and print is clear and bright despite age. Last page has small closed tear into adjacent page, and heavily soiled. This book has seen much over the centuries and was well loved, and would make for an interesting addition to anyone?s collection.
