Intervals In Action

Intervals in Action was created to fill a gap in the musical resources available to the aspiring jazz musician. The ultimate goal of the book is to provide a fun way to train your ear to hear intervals in many different harmonic contexts. This will help you create musical phrases which accurately portray your feelings and emotions through your instrument. Working with this book will also enhance your enjoyment when listening to music, providing you with a heightened sensitivity to the harmonic context of the intervals used in the creation of all melodies. Working with the book as part of your daily practice routine will also expand your harmonic awareness, giving you an increased ability to tap into the melodic and harmonic possibilities hidden within each interval.
