This book provides easily accessible technique specific information on interventional radiology (IR) procedures at a basic level for medical students and junior doctors. It covers subject topics in both vascular and non-vascular interventional radiology appropriate for a non-specialist audience. Recognising this, the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe (CIRSE) devised an undergraduate curriculum in IR, specifically designed for teaching medical students.

About the Author

Michael Lee, MD is Professor of Radiology and Consultant Radiologist in the Department of Radiology at Beaumont Hospital and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Professor Lee has a founding member and the first President of the Irish Society of Interventional Radiology. Since then he has held posts as President of the International Society of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Radiology, as well as the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe.
