This book gives counselors and individuals a new approach for embracing differences (and similarities) that can positively enhance intimate relationships.

Jane Hardy Jones, Ed. D., was an educator, researcher, and counselor at the University of Hawaii. During her forty-year career she maintained a private practice that was primarily focused on individual, marital and relationship counseling. She was responsible for introducing the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® assessment to the faculty and staff at the University of Hawaii, where it is still used today. Dr. Jones was also a co-author of CAPT's Type for Life guide, Building Better Relationships: Using the lens of personality to help couples thrive.

Ruth G. Sherman, Ph. D., was a psychologist and a founding member of the Association for Psychological Type (APTi). Dr. Sherman wrote one of the earliest dissertations on marriage counseling using the MBTI® assessment in order to give couples the tools for bridging personality differences. Dr. Sherman was a well-known lecturer and author and trained a myriad of students on the use of the MBTI instrument in clinical settings. She worked closely with co-author Jane Hardy Jones at the Counseling and Testing Center at the University of Hawaii.
