Synopsis
Indian sugar sector having a large stake in the world sugar economy, like on several occasions in the past, once again found it at cross roads. From an era of large production, high surpluses and virtually unmanageable stocks, India has turned into an importer of sugar, albeit of raw sugar, to meet the gap between supply and demand in the world market. The research is basically, to analyze the performance of ICL Sugars Ltd., India. This report is purely the comparative analysis of ICL Sugars Limited with two Indian sugar mills ie., EID Parry (India) Limited & Ponni Sugars (Erode) Ltd and two foreign sugar mills i.e., Habib Sugar Mills Limited & Shahtaj Sugar Mills Limited.
