Introduction to Business : A Contemporary View

Français-Monde engages learners with meaningful and relevant language in a real-world context to ensure they develop communicative competence in French. 

Reflecting the five goals of the National Standards and their related objectives, Français-Monde is uniquely designed to help learners develop cross-cultural competence in a rich and flexible framework by providing tightly integrated exposure to real-world culture, language and technology. 

Real Culture

• Focus on contemporary culture that helps learners analyze why they do what they do, and understand different cultural perspectives of people from the French speaking world.
• Integrated video follows French university students using natural, contemporary and authentic language as they perform every day functions. 
• Vocabulary exposes student to words in use by today’s French-speaking people.
• Thematic readings drawn from a variety of genres and resources, such as magazine articles, blogs posts, surveys, songs, poems, essays, prepare students to experience language in the real-world contexts.

Real Language

• Learners are encouraged to demonstrate their cultural and linguistic competence via a culminating project at the end of each chapter.
