Introduction to Christianity (Religious Life in History Series)

Combining essential information with thought-provoking discussion, this third edition updates the practical and challenging coverage of the history, ideas, and diversity of Christianity. This book provides a balanced introduction to the historical, cultural, theological, and social aspects of Christianity's development, focusing on movements, people, and controversies that have united and divided Christians over time. This foundation prepares readers for the final section of the text, where they are invited to understand and engage in topics of ongoing debate among Christians, such as women's ordination and modern technology in the church ("the electronic church").
