An Introduction to Economic Behaviour

This is a book for beginners: for students embarking on a systematic study of economics, and for anyone who wants to acquire a basic knowledge and understanding of how a modern economy works, how economists today analyse and interpret it, and how governments try to apply their conclusions to the solution of economic problems. The author's analysis is straightforward and largely non-technical. By means of examples that are within the experience of the reader, he introduces him gradually to the basic economic theory which sets out to explain economic behaviour, and leads him on to an understanding of the role of economics in the modern world.
