No Jacket. Ex-Library. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. This dark blue cloth hardcover introduction to English Literature by Painter is in good condition but has no dustjacket. The covers have minor wear on the faces and a little around the edges but look pretty good. The spine is tight. The pages are still quite white with a little wear at the top outer page edges but no marks except a small ink mark on page 391. The book was a Nebraska public library book at one time and has two stamps but no other marks. The first two pages of the introduction are missing. The pages are illustrated with several photo plates of various authors. 8 chapter groupings representing the 8 writing eras of English literature covered by this book plus a section of annotated selections illustrating the periods and the authors cited. 700 pages including a detailed index in the back. WE accept CHECKS, POSTAL & COMMERCIAL MONEY ORDERS, and ECOMMERCE through ABEBOOKS.COM. We will hold checks for up to seven working days to ensure validity and ship immediately thereafter. Shipping charges are kept to a minimum and reflect the buyer's request (either media rate or priority). U.S. Media rate (7-15 days) $2.50 1st book and $1.00 each additional. U.S. Priority rate (3-6 days) $5.50 1st book and $2.50 each additional. Please inquire via e-mail about international rates. International first class rate is used whenever possible. Insurance is available and advisable for $1.50 - $2.00 and U.S. Postal tracking for orders within the US is available for $1.50. We provide free postal tracking on domestic mail on orders over $5.00. MEDIA MAIL RATE POSTAGE IS FREE FOR ORDERS OVER $100.00!
