He is also co-author of Foundations of Chemistry in the Laboratory and Introduction to General, Organic, and Biochemistry in the Laboratory.

Scott Pattison lives in Muncie, Indiana, and is a dedicated teacher of general, organic, and biochemistry at Ball State University. He has been co-author with Morris Hein since the third edition of Introduction to General, Organic, and Biochemistry.

Susan Arena currently teaches general chemistry and is director of the Merit Program for Emerging Scholars at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He is co-author with Morris Hein on foundations of College Chemistry, Tenth Edition, and is also co-author of Introduction to General, Organic, and Biochemistry, Seventh Edition, and Introduction to Organic and Biochemistry
