A world-renowned linguist, he is also the author of 'Introduction to Biblical Hebrew, ' 'Introduction to Sahidic Coptic, ' and 'Introduction to Classical Ethiopic (Ge'ez).' His grammars have been translated into Spanish, Italian, German, and Russian.
