About the Author: Chris Coder has worked as an archaeologist on the Great Plains and Colorado Plateau since 1980. He spent seven years as a project archaeologist at Grand Canyon National Park and is now archaeologist for the Yavapai-Apache Nation. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Augustana College and his Master of Arts from Northern Arizona University.
