About the Author
About the Editors: Leming Zhou, PhD, DSc, is an associate professor and the Master of Science in Health Informatics program director within the Department of Health Information Management at the University of Pittsburgh. He also holds secondary appointments in the Department of Bioengineering in the School of Engineering and McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine. His current research focus is in the areas of machine learning, health IT system development and evaluation, mathematical modeling on health-related topics, information security and privacy, information integration, and data analytics. Zhou's research goal is to provide computational methods and tools to facilitate high quality and low-cost health care services. Dr. Zhou serves as a reviewer for books, conferences, journals, and state and federal funding agencies. Lesley Clack, ScD,MS, is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Health Sciences at Florida Gulf Coast University. She also serves as the Program Director for the Master of Science in Health Science and Bachelor of Science in Health Administration degree programs. Dr. Clack holds a Doctor of Science degree in Health Systems Management from Tulane University School of Public Health. Dr. Clack has previously served as the director of a health informatics program and has taught Data Analytics workshops for AHIMA. She has also authored many publications on health informatics and data analytics for the Journal of AHIMA. Her research and teaching span across health administration, including the use of informatics and data analytics to improve quality of education and work life for professionals.
