Nine Volumes. Hardback, 7 x 4 inches. Early full calf leather bindings, raised banding and full gilt decoration to spines, maroon leather spine labels lettered in gilt. Marbled endpapers and red page edging. In very good condition. Spines sunned, rubbing to extremities. A couple of chips to top ends of spines. Some dark staining to front spine edge of vols.IV and IX. Inside pages all very clean, bright and tight throughout. Maps clean and bright. One or two minor foxing spots. No penned inscriptions or previous owners marks. Else a very good clean and tight early set. 9 vols: Illustrated with 14 B&W engraved folding maps. Decorative title page vignettes and decorative headers & tailpieces.
