Illustrated pink paper covered boards with black spine covering. 7" x 4.5", 239ppp indexed, + ads. Unfortunately, preliminary pages are excised, probably ffep and half title; so begins with title page. Moderate wear to extremities, very good contents. This copy has author's 1867 preface and 1868 copyright. Worldcat shows Greene's Philadelphia edition as early as 1856.
