Sm 8vo. Crimson cloth boards, decorated gilt titles and design to spine, gilt rules, title and embossed gilt motif. pp. xxiii, 331 + 7, pub's adverts. With an armorial bookplate affixed to first blank, inscribed, "To Lee [?] Mirehouse from Mr Frederick Ingle, Christmas 1901." Almost certainly Frederick Ingle (1839-1912), a high profile architect who died leaving a large estate part of which continues to be run as the Frederick Ingle Charitable Trust. The plate has left an offset to the facing tp. Front hinge loose, former library label to front pastedown, library call number to base of spine, rubs to front cover edges. Pages browned, else a decent, clean copy.
