HARDBACK, blue cloth with gilt lettering on spine, gilt embossed design and ruled lines on front, head, tail, edges and corners lightly rubbed, spine a little faded, inner front hinge a little cracked, but sound, one or two light spots on rear end-papers otherwise very fine and bright throughout. inscribed by the former owner, reknown curator of geology at Queen Mary, London, John N Carreck.
