Introduction to the Thought of Tubias Capaina, Vol. II: A Proposal for an Encyclopedia of African Historiography with special attention to Mozambique

The "Introduction to the Thought of Tubias Capaina, Vol. II" offers an analysis of the work of Mozambican intellectual Tubias Capaina, whose ideas challenge the traditional narratives of African historiography. This book explores Capaina's bold proposal for an African encyclopedia that refocuses historical knowledge from indigenous perspectives, with an emphasis on Mozambique and its cultural, political and epistemological dynamics. Thus, more than a historiographical study of Africa, this work discusses how Capaina's thinking reorients the writing of African history, overcoming colonial legacies and proposing new methodologies based on local knowledge. Combining philosophy, history and post-colonial studies, the book is an essential contribution for academics, students and those interested in reimagining the future of historiography in Africa.
