Problems arise when Stephie's mother (the president's ex-wife) insists that her daughter be removed from danger--though not before Stephie's relationship with young Chinese army Lieutenant Wu surfaces. Without indulging in techno-babble, Harry displays a remarkable grasp of infantry tactics and weapons, and his graphic descriptions of battles and sorties will entertain and intrigue.
