What if science is explaining more than it can prove?
The Invented Universe challenges the prevailing assumption that science alone can fully explain our origins, purpose, and destiny. With clarity and insight, D. L. Weller—a published contributor to the field of theoretical physics and longtime Silicon Valley patent attorney—guides readers through popular scientific theories, exposing where they rest not on observation but on unverified speculation. From the Big Bang and multiverse theories to abiogenesis and evolutionary complexity, Weller explores how often these ideas require phenomena that violate the very laws of nature they claim to obey.
Written for thoughtful readers—whether skeptical or supportive of modern science—this book provides the tools to evaluate the evidentiary basis of today's most influential theories. Along the way, Weller invites readers to consider whether the natural world points not to a self-generating cosmos, but to something—and Someone—greater.
Whether you're a believer in the power of science or a seeker exploring deeper answers, The Invented Universe offers a compelling, balanced, and eye-opening perspective.

About the Author
D. L. Weller is a published contributor to the field of theoretical physics and a longtime patent attorney who spent over four decades in Silicon Valley working with high-tech innovators. He graduated with highest honors from the University of California at Davis and earned his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He also holds a graduate degree in theology from Western Seminary.
Weller has authored peer-reviewed papers on relativity and black hole theory and brings a multidisciplinary perspective to questions about the origin and nature of the universe.
In The Invented Universe, he challenges the assumption that science alone can answer life's most profound questions. Rather than rejecting science, Weller examines where scientific explanations rely more on speculation than observation—and invites readers to consider whether a deeper framework is needed to make sense of the cosmos.
He writes for thoughtful readers who are curious about evidence, logic, and meaning—and who are open to exploring whether the natural world might point to something, or Someone, beyond itself.
