The study targeted Saudi female English majors at King Saud university to investigate the relationship between explicit first language strategy instruction and language learning examining whether there will be a difference in strategy use after strategy instruction. About the Author

May Abumelha, M.A., is a lecturer at King Saud University from which she earned her Master of Arts degree in Applied Linguistics back in 2008. She is currently working on her Ph.D. degree in linguistics at the University of Leeds, UK. Her main research interest is Second Language Acquisition through classroom-based research.
