The included investigations in this book formed part of a supplementary course in Applied Mechanics given by the author, in 1866-7-8, to the Engineer Class at the U. S. Naval Academy. Includes coverage of both wrought iron and cast iron shafts, crank-pins, cranks, rods, shearing, beams, boilers. Size: 6" x 9".
