Review
Higher Education in Europe
...a well-referenced glimpse into the educational process that are deemed crucial as lesser-developed nations strive to provide quality education in an ever changing multicomplex global community.
Choice
The most impressive part of the book is the frank analysis of the experience of others. Details of success and failure, the ramification of decisions and the critical significance of cultural and economic factors provide valuable counterpoints to the inevitable generalisations often associated with global statements on education.
Higher Education Review
The arguments that permeate Hallak's work are straightforward and persuasively presented: The policy suggestions which flow from the analysis are important. Hallak is realistic about the challenges to be faced. His highly readable book illustrates the challenge of the educational planner to study, to choose, and to negotiate changes in plans. This volume could help a great many policy decisions to be made more easily and more wisely.

Store description
