The Invisible Backpack: A Paramedic PTSD Story (Healing Storybook Collection)

Mum is a First Responder, she is a Paramedic and she has been carrying a very heavy invisible backpack.

Some days it feels full of stones.

Some days it feels so heavy that even simple things are hard.

When Mum goes to a special hospital to learn how to make her backpack lighter, her young daughter begins to understand that healing isn't about getting rid of the backpack—it's about learning how to carry it with help, hope, and love.

Through gentle conversations, friendship, creativity, movement, and connection, Mum discovers that some stones can become lighter. Some even turn into feathers.

A heartfelt story about PTSD, mental health recovery, resilience, and the powerful bond between a parent and child.

Perfect for families navigating trauma, mental health challenges, first responder life, military service, or big feelings that can sometimes be difficult to explain.
