About the Author

Janice Beck Stock, a graduate of Iowa State University and coauthor of A Treasury of Iowa Tales, is a homemaker and mother of two. She lives in Titonka, Iowa.

Ken Beck is an editor for The Tennesseean in Nashville, Tennessee, and a freelance writer.

With coauthor Jim Clark, he has written Aunt Bee's Mayberry Cookbook, The All-American Cowboy Cookbook, Mary Ann's Gilligan's Island Cookbook, Aunt Bee's Delightful Desserts, Aunt Bee's Mealtime in Mayberry, and Mayberry Memories.

Alan Beck, like his sister Janice, is a native of Iowa and an Iowa State graduate. He is an investment consultant and lives in West Des Moines, Iowa.
