The Irish Setter - A Complete Anthology of the Dog

The rich red Irish Setter is a dashing gundog bred to range wide and find game birds on the bog and in the field. The Irish Setter gathers the scattered early literature of the breed - its history, description, character and management - into a single readable volume.

These collected accounts range across the Irish Setter's history and origins, its description and character, and the practical business of rearing, breeding and showing it, assembled from the works of the fanciers and authorities who knew the breed best.
